Pontoon Boat With Cuddy!
Check out Premiers new Pontoon with a cuddy cabin! Click on the "features" button at the top right to see the inside of the cuddy. Not bad looking!

In deed very inovative... I personally never would have thought of the idea. But is a natural progression... with the popularity of Pontoon boats at this time.

What is that "Pistol grip" on the left side of the helm ? Side thrusters? LOL
Seriously could not find any description for it's purpose on that site .

It's joystick control for docking. You just push the stick in the direction you want to go and it manipulates the 3 engines to get you there. Even sideways. It can turn each on independently to make the boat crawl sideways. It probably also has the Skyhook feature where you just push a button and it will virtually anchor your boat and hold that position regardless of wind or current. It uses the GPS and compass. I wonder if that gets around the no rafting laws?? "Were not rafting, were skyhooked!!!" |

why stop at 700?
A 4000 lb, low drag toon with 700 hp sounds like a recipe for a spilled margarita. They should just cut to the chase and put a turbine on it.

Oddly, these boats seem to defy the HP logic. Tossing HP at them does not make them much faster, unlike on a deep V hull (20HP for every 1 MPH).
The other thread running here regarding a trip OB toon had a shockingly low top speed listed. |

Now that's fly'en!
How about a South Bay 925CR with triple 300's at 114 mph? That would get you to lunch pretty quick!

No, perhaps I didnt preface my statement. If you are running, say, a Baja outlaw 25 with a 496 @425 hp it will likely run 65ish, to get to 75 you will need to throw another 200 hp at it. My point was after a certain hull speed the toons dont seem to respond the same or require more HP per mph gain.

Three of them would use about $250 worth of fuel per hour.........pretty expensive trip to lunch if you want to show off. |
