Finally out on the Island
Well, last night (Monday 4/22) was the first night on Rattlesnake. *NICE* sunset (sorry, didn't get a pic) - cold night.
It's nice to be back! No neighbors yet, most docks are still out of the water - very, very quiet on the lake. Did actually see another boat coming from the Island this evening (Tue). Bring on the warm weather! |

I was out on Rattlesnake briefly the day after ice-out was declared..never saw another boat. Can't wait for it to warm up a tad!

Was out as well this past weekend putting the dock in and getting the water system charged to the camp and stocking the shelves for the season. Spending about 2-3 hours assembling the dock saved me a good chunk of change, paid for my new wetsuit and then some.
Finding out the hard way that I missed draining a couple of water lines under the building wasn't to much fun, crawling under there, cutting out the busted part and soldering in a patch piece is I guess part of the fun, but all good none the less. Looking forward to this weekend, matter of fact I decided to take an extra day on Monday just because. I suspect there will be more folks out this weekend than were last. |

Here's a graph showing the past years of lake height.
As codeman said, we are just below "full". |

Return to Bear
Yes! We too arrived on Bear Friday the 19th- so good to be back- saw few people opening on the West side & now during the week very quiet- only maintenance people here- been walking the perimeters to look for any damages and not much- good news for many! Basically really enjoying this week of peace & solitude.
