I like that name better since Gordos mean fatties in Spanish...

Just FYI, your first post makes it sound like you are a disinterested 3rd party, while the post above makes it sound like you have a direct interest in the facility.

Most people don't mind if you are advocating your own business, but just make sure it is clear if you are a business OWNER or CUSTOMER.

Default Will The Rates Change?

For example...what's the rate for a month in July/August?

Thank you.

rates will remain the same year round. it would be silly to increase rates in the summer, and unfair.

Not to argue, but just because the state approved the name doesn't mean Planet Fitness can't come after you IMO. Hopefully PF won't care as you are small but sometimes these companies are awful. Personally I don't think they should care as long as someone doesn't confuse one company with another.

I hope you are right for your sake! It was just when you wrote your new name, Planet Fitness immediately came to my mind. Hey, maybe they will buy you out for a fortune if they do find out about it!! Good Luck with your new venture!

My first read of post #1 and I had to look at the name a second time...I thought it said Planet Fitness and was surprised to think they bought out a smallish location.

I do wish you luck, Winnipugs.

Good news on the buy. I hope you have the best of luck with the new facility.
Clean is the optimum word. Can't stand dirty, smelly facilities. Went to another unnamed place in the area and found a guys jock strap, and shorts hanging on the weights. Argh!.....

need an opinion. we are painting the interior, the equipment is platinum, black and cobalt blue, the floors are rubberized and black. what do you think the walls and trim should be? we thought maybe a steeley blue gray for the walls and a high gloss black for trim color. any ideas?

the equip is the same, however we have done interior remodeling to allow for more space and flow. lots of exciting new changes. so the set up inside is entirely different and not cramped.

I was there a lot last summer and it was very cramped. Great equipment and very clean, but too cramped!!

Glad to hear your making it more "user-friendly".

Thank you!!

Default For all to know

Hey Winni Puggs,

I like the changes throughout. I've been to that other gym. Platinum is not a stuffy gym, the members know each other and there's plenty of good times. The gym is always clean, plenty of clean towels. A big plus over your competition is offering free specific training guides for each member. It shows how you care about each member's success. I can't wait to tell the former that Gordo means FATTY. I think that's funny.

I was hoping that I could get my own personalized locker.

Good Luck
