Default Spring Launch??

My boat is at Shep's and I was wondering is it safe to have the boat put in at Ice Out or should I wait a couple of weeks after?? I have to let them know 14 days in advance. Thanks.

You might want to check your insurance policy first. I was surprised a few years ago to discover that mine only covered in-water from May 1 to Nov 1. Longer periods will cost more.

For my use, that time period works.

You should be fine, I would not worry about engine freezing at that point. I usually have a boat in the day they call it, if not a few days before. Watch out for floating debris though.

Long range computer models are showing another cold spell around the 8th or 9th of April. Be cautious for another chilldown.

Cheers!
