Smile Meredith McDonalds

ok Samian, I'll bite........price $1.08, item - a McDonald's double cheeseburger, contents-you know...two hamburgers, cheese, tomato, onion, pickel, lettice, and a bun. All for $1.08! If you went to buy all the ingredients at a supermarket, could you match that price? Plus, the State of NH gets eight cents of the 1.08 in meals tax. Plus, a large cup of ice water, no charge. and leaving a tip would be impolite...

And, the www.mcdonalds.com in Meredith is the best one around.

OK,FLL.....you've goaded me into a rant.....Everything in a chain restaurant comes out of a bottle, can or the freezer. That Big Mac that you love so much came from the lowest bidder.Every day, each chain instructs their buyers to buy the cheapest product that is available. Next time you go to McD's,ask them to see a RAW hamburger before it is cooked. They are GREY,not red and fresh.Chains pay rock bottom wages and profits go back to headquarters instead of staying in the community which is the case with independants.
Ever see a real chef in a chain restaurant?.....Not likely
If you go back into the archives,I defy anyone to find a single negative comment that I have made about any restaurant, but I have to take the gloves off when it comes to chains. The recent salmonella outbreak was mostly confined to chains ....because,.......you guessed it....they buy the cheapest product that is on the market.
I will concede that they have high standards of cleanliness and I give them credit for that.
Thanks,Boywonder for stickin' with the locals.

The Meredith McDonalds is head & shoulders above all the other McD's on the planet. I understand that its' manager has been the manager there since 1987, when the building was first built. And, he can usually be found cook'n the orders. So, how about that?

Plus, it has the LaDaSun, a well written & inexpensive, local newspaper!
