Default My oh my.....

What a beautiful picture......as I sit here at work, scanning the forum, you know, working and stuff!! My itch is full blown, didn't make it up this summer, but planning (hopefully) for a long, much needed weekend around Columbus Day.....hoping that there are still some beautiful leaves left on the trees!! Just breathtaking!!

At 5:41 am on the 19th all I had was the phone camera so this is not in the same league as Steve's fine photo. But you can sort of get the idea that it was worth getting up to view.

Default Had the same situation last night...

We went out to the Broads from Alton Bay, and watched the sun go down. As we started a slow cruise back in, the moon came up over Wolfeboro...It lit up the sky a bright orange and I tried to get a pic with my phone. Just couldn't get a good one. But it was spectacular on the moon rise, and the moon set looks spectacular as well... We had the same moon beam shining across the water. Great end to a nice cruise.

Talking Fine memories....

Nothing sticks out in my mind as a finer memory than being out in the boat in the middle of the night off of Rattlesnake Island, just drifting, laying on the deck looking up at a sky reserved for the gods.....almost airbrushed with detail......shooting stars.....beautiful girlfriend, young love.....ok, I'm getting carried away here.....plus, "girlfriend" was not my wife!!......hahaha! (wasn't married yet, not two timing!)

Great pics. I was out on the Winnipesaukee Bell that night on the Wolfe Tavern Club cruise. I saw it come up over Wolfeboro Bay and that moon looked huge just coming over the horizon. Made for a very nice cruise and really lit up the water....
