Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby 2013
If you didn't enter last year you may have been dropped from the mailing list so here's a link to the lastest official info: http://www.meredithrotary.org/Derby_Information.html
The biggest changes are that: the largest fish of each of the eligible species will be entered in the grand prize drawings, NO MORE TAGGED RAINBOW TROUT REQUIRED FOR A GRAND PRIZEI'll be checking these forums every day to see how the sled gals are doing with their snow/ice dance efforts. Let us know how we can help. It will be with much fear and trepidation that I will continue to read the analysis of the long range weather models. It would also be helpful if the fisherman could post the location of any new artificial reefs (aka, GMC Jimmys) that they find under the ice. Be safe everybody. |

When is it
The web site would be more useful if the Derby information page had the dates of the derby. I poked around their web site a bit but never found when it will be held. Maybe it is a secret?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the new rules and how prizes can be won. I think I like it, because my fishing party has never caught a tagged Rainbow. I caught my first Rainbow last February during the week and it too wasn't tagged.
