Default Impala Boat

What could be better than a boat to match your car?

Default How about a '57 Chevy?

Looks great, but I could really relate to a '57 Chevy with a matching boat.

Question 1959 Chevy and Boat

Raleigh Classic Car Sales had one up for auction.

...but boat, trailer, and car are green--with a more-suitable smaller Mercury...

Maybe it's just me, but I always thought that boats styled with taillights were some of the worst designs.

Same here...my mom owned a 59 black convertible with red interior.
She used to let me borrow it occasionally and I was only in high school.
I can tell you I felt like the cock of the walk driving through the Weirs on a summer night

🤣🤣🤣 I was still in grade school (13/14 yrs old) but I was always a big kid so that must have made Mom more confident in my driving abilities! By the time I was 16, the license was a no brainer. 😊

That is a funky boat photo!

In 1960 Chevrolet Impala offered 2 different models; one with a sloped rear window, and one with a wrap around rear window. I had the wrap around version four door hardtop with the famous Chevrolet 283 V-8 engine. One of the best cars I ever had -- just drive it and change the oil.

Default Silver Chris Craft

In 1959 Chris Craft made a Silver Arrow with fins like a '59 Buick, similar to the Impala. In 1955, they made a Cobra, close in appearance to a CC Capri, but with a large single fin in the center aft. I have a recollection of a Silver Chris Craft with the single fin in the same time frame. I believe the owner was part of a Blackey Cove group, as well as the club on Welch Island. Is there any accuracy to my recollection? Owner was a Mass. Buick dealer, I think.

On Welch, would that be the "Winter Harbor Yacht Club"?

I have a set of large glasses with that name embossed on the set--in blue.

Yes--that's the name on the sign.
