Default Ice Conditions to Rattlesnake Island

Does anyone know the ice conditions out to Rattlesnake Island's access Road from the association lot. Any recent measurements? Looking to go out this coming weekend.

Thank you

Default No ice info, just hi

How many times have you guys gotten out to the new place? Are you all set for a boat this summer? Boy I hope ice out comes soon. Take care.

Default Ice is plenty safe

I spent the last few days out on Rattlesnake. Plenty of ice... There are still cars/trucks on the ice. The current issue is that it is glare-ice - no lubrication for snowmobiles (a snowmobile overheated and burned up on the ice yesterday nere Mink). Perhaps some snow will arrive before the weekend...

Default

I just came back from ATV ride on the lake (forgot something at my camp), not near Rattlesnake, but from Glendale to Welch Island. Massasauga is correct about the glare ice!! The only minor issue I encountered was the shoreline near Welch where I broke through the upper layer of ice while on foot. Still plenty of ice underneath but the shoreline is definitely starting to go.

Be safe;

Dan
