Default Hummingbirds New year, new post

As we have started the month of May, I again recall the advise of Mom...Hummingbirds will be back by Mother's Day (May 14th this year). Sooooooooo, get out those feeders, clean them really well, and get them hanging. Hope our hummers like the all out expense we went to this year with two brand new bright red and yellow feeders to welcome them back.

They have been up on Alton mountain since this past Monday (That's when I saw them) at least at our place. Saw them looking for the feeder while eating breakfast. Didn't take me long to fill the feeder and hang it. They have been coming regularly since.

Smile They're BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK

Was toying with taking out the storm glass from the storm doors, and lo and behold, there was a male Ruby-throated at the feeder, which has been up less than 24 hours!!!!

Amazing. Now if I can just have my camera at the ready when they are, I will get a picture!!!!

Put the feeder up at Jonathans Landing at 5:30 Tonite. Birds 10 minutes later and they kept coming.
