Default Heading to Wolfeboro tomorrow-yyyiipppee!

Heading up tomorrow-cant believe another year has gone by-I think this is our 22nd year going up there. Reflecting back, it used to be 12 dozen worms for the week fishing off the dock-now with two daughters of age, it will probably be like 12 bags of ice for you know what!

I also reminded the 14 year old son of the time 9 or so years ago when he was sobbing uncontrollably the night before we were leaving-why cant we stay, why cant we own a place up here, I will sell my dog to pay for it-broke my heart til about 1am when he finally exhausted himself to sleep.

It has been a great book of memories-looking forward to writing the next chapter over the coming week..........

Reading this has made me appreciate anew how blessed I am to live in Wolfeboro. Next week will be our ten year anniversary of having moved here. It is so wonderful to be part of the year round Wolfeboro community. It@'s an amazing place every season of the year. Well maybe not mud season!!!!

Default so jealous, so happy for you

I'm not landing in NH for another 3 weeks. It's brutal here, 115 today and this is the home stretch. Coley, have a wonderful vacation.

Is it wrong that I've already started packing for the trip???

My wife and I will be driving up this Sunday for a week of relaxation! This weather may be awful to work in but it's great for vacations. I hope we get some of this week's weather next week!

Default heading to wolfeboro tomorrow

I know what you mean about the anticipation. When we were kids we started packing the day school ended for 2 or 3 weeks at Edward's in July. Of course, we had to keep unpacking to wear the clothes. We too, cried leaving and begged my Dad to buy a farm in Wolfeboro. We told him we'd take care of the horses and cows while he worked. He pointed out that if was a fight to get us to clean our rooms never mind take care of farm animals. I'm already making my list for my August vacation at the Lake. Enjoy your vacations everyone!

Default on the carry

We are on the canoe carry at the smallest part of the island. Been renting in the same place since the 1950's. Now have the kids and the grands with me. They all love it and waiting to leave in the am. We are on the east side . Stop by and say hello.
