Default Art Lessons?

My wife and I retired to the Alton / Wolfeboro area. I am thinking of a Christmas gift she would enjoy. She has an interest in taking some art lessons-something she never had time for and would be starting at step one. She has a great sense for what looks good when it comes to colors and design. She raised a daughter she sent to Philadelphia to one of the better art colleges but unfortunately lives away.

Can you recommend anyone who gives these types of lessons in our area? She would be available most any time to take the lessons.

Thanks!

Default Adult education classes..

Check out the adult education classes that may be available at the various high schools in Alton, Wolfeboro, Gilford, and Laconia, as well as those at the Lakes Region Community College.

If she's interested in crafts, such as felting, basketry, jewelry making, etc., The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen offers workshops. This would be over in Sandwich or Meredith. I believe they take a break from classes in the winter and start up again in spring.

You might try Sandy Martin in downtown Wolfeboro. She has a nice gallery and private studio as well, overlooking the lake and is very pleasant to deal with. (603) 569-9890
