"Navigating Lake Winnipesaukee" on YouTube
I was watching some of the dive videos on YouTube so they added this to my feed. I saw it was only a minute and 48 seconds and I thought, "wow, navigating Winni explained that quickly!" I decided to watch it and I wasn't disappointed.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW_W0VT4DoQ At 0:33 we get this advice, "you're going to encounter all red and all black top channel markers and you just simply pass between them" as they show non-channel markers on the video, but correctly do show red/black top markers. Of course, I expect anyone navigating Winni will be licensed (or under 16 and under the supervision of someone licensed) and if they took anything from their training it would be how to read the markers. However, I did get a chuckle and thought others on here may as well.

You know, I always assumed this was a super minority of people out there, however, given what I see on weekends maybe I am wrong.

At 1:40 I see a boat that doesn’t seem to be compliant with the 150’ rule.

Must be an older video based on the MP boats in the background. I haven’t seen one of the inboards in several years.

For newbies, this statement could sound ambiguous: "IF" the motor is 25 horse or less, then there is no age requirement. I fielded this question many times in the summers that I sold boats. |
