Angler boats?
Looking at buying a new boat.. .well a little used....
Have my eye on a 2000 - 18' Angler Center Console, with a 90hp Johnson 2 cycle. Boat was only actually used as a second boat. FYI, Boat was used on salt water, slightly used, if that makes much difference. Boat owner babied this boat ! Loaded boat at a great price ! Been doing research, on Angler boats, Johnsons engines, and looks like a nice little boat package. Has anyone owned a Angler boat, or have any personal info. about them, they could share? 2 cyle engines not my first choice, but that's the package. Pros/Cons about Johnson 2 cycles? Thanks for any feedback, much appreciated ! Bigdog |

Don't know anything about Angler boats, but I have worked on a 2000 Johnson 90 OB before. They are simple and reliable engines that are easy to work on. The only downside that engine is that it will use more gas per mile than a fuel injected 2 stroke or a 4 stroke. The difference in MPG is not so big that re-powering would make any sense though.
