Will any of these steam boats be at Lee's Mill tomorrow, Sept. 7, 2012?
I'll be in that area doing some work and would like to see them. |

I stopped in at the Lee's Mill Docks this morning and had a chat with a few of the steam boat owners. The boats are arriving today and they are busy setting things up for their get together.
These folks are some of the nicest people that you would ever want to meet. They will talk to you about how they built their steam boat and will answer any questions that you might have. They are just good down to earth people. Sorta like "me". |

I found that many of the steamboat owners are very happy to take visitors for a ride, even in the parade. Drop by and chat with some of them and you can probably get a free steamboat ride!

The Steamboat Village is up and thriving at Lee's Mills. I love the sights and the smells. It will be a great Steamboat week. It always is.

I have a few friends coming up to head over to this. I'ts one of my favorite boat rides of the season. I head over that side of the lake, slow the boat down, light up a cigar and enjoy the wildlife, the quiet, and scenery. Usually pack a lunch and anchor out off the docks and watch the parade on Sunday.
It's just an awsome scene!!! I'll be in a Red Maxum ~24ft bow rider if anyone wants to say hi. Probably head over Sunday (depending on the weather it keeps changing!!) |
