Default Looking for other Boating Family's with young children

We have an 9 year old son and we are trying to find kids his age to hang out with on weekends. We are new to the area of Laconia and to this Forum. The Forum has been a great source of info.

Try some of the gathering places. I'm sure you can all make some friends. Braun's Bay is a good place to start. Also the south side of the bridge to Governor's Island. Just stay clear of the channel!

Good luck!

What lake are you on? If Winnisquam, the sandbar at the Mosquito Bridge is a great place for kids on weekends. It's huge, shallow and has soft sand. On holidays, the ice cream barge even shows up

Shore Driver is right! I have caught more than a few ignoring No Wake Zones here in the Lakes Region over many years. Never even had my camera with me for most.

That is why I like my avatar photo of a Long Boat in the Weirs Channel, under No Wake, and enjoying it along with the rest of us!
