Kona Mansion
Anyone familiar with what's going on with the Kona Mansion site? I see the place is under contract on Realtor.com and that it's on the Moultonborough Planning Board's agenda for pre-application review (subdivision and site plan). Our place is right around the corner so I am definitely an interested party. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully the sale will end the sweetheart tax valuation on the property.

Kona
Thought the town was done with "funnel" development. Anyone know how much waterfront they have?

I would love to see this magnificent heritage estate restored and used.
Sadly, I can't see any financial feasibility for this to happen. The town is going to let them do what? |

I was pleasantly surprised to see the plan is to renovate the Mansion. I couldn't even speculate how much it's going to take to do it but that would be a major financial undertaking. In terms of selling 150 memberships (plus the guests at the property) to use the facilities including the beach, I don't see how that could possibly work. My guess is they are going to have to limit/exclude those who would have access to the beach to just the hotel guests. I understand what they are trying to do in terms of generating a steady stream of revenue from the memberships because, unless I am missing something, this is one thing they don't currently have.

My wedding reception was at Kona Mansion Inn. It was lovely back then.
