Gilford Yacht Club
Can anyone tell me, where is Gilford Yacht Club, by road? I've 'google'd' it, and the only address I get is not near the water. I've been offered a slip for rent there and want to stop by this weekend to check it out. An address or even GPS co-ordinates would be great.
Thx, |

From the lights at Patrick's Pub, Sawyers, and B Mae Denny's, head east on Rte 11 toward Alton, and about a half mile on your left, just after all the Fay Marina stuff is a Marina. That be the Gilford Marina, by golly !

ThePlut has the correct name, the Gilford Marina is now known as Mountain View YC. Hope this helps, directions-wise... P.S.- Just past Sawyers Dairy Bar, on the left, after Fays showroom is correct.

Make sure you lay on the horn when entering the channel. It is not wide enough for two boats to pass so you must signal when entering.
It is a great place to keep a boat, very laid back atmosphere. We have been in there for a few years, a few other members (JRC, Aquadesiac and probably others) are there as well. |

Found it
Thanks, found it, nice little club, but the slips are just too big for my boat. I know that sounds wierd, but they were slips on that wall to the right and I'd need a ladder just to get down into the boat. I think the fingers on the left would be OK, but I wasn't offered one of those.
Thanks for the directions! |

There are fingers for rent next season
Look through the classifed on this site and/or PM me. I know one owner who will likely rent his slip and I know two renters likely to leave.
The club is great, a lot of families, no wild parties, and pets allowed. The facilities are clean, but a little old. Be careful, don't rent without seeing the slip, things always sound nicer than they are. |
