Question local water temperatures ?

Some August 6, 2023 local water temps:

Lake Winnipesaukee as reported on local fm-radio from Meredith Marina ... www.meredithmarina.com .... on luxurious Meredith Bay .... 75-degrees which is down two degrees from this summer's high of 77-degrees

Corcoran Pond, Waterville Valley ...... 62-degrees measured in direct sunlight at 8:30-am in the shallows at the big rock. This pond has a lot of water almost always flowing through it from the large Snows Brook which probably makes it cold after a recent rainfall

Mad River just above the confluence with Snows Brook in the river shoreline shallows ...... 52-degrees

Just got a new water thermometer for about $6.50 from Walmart, a Mainstays floating pool/lake/hot tub thermometer in white or gray that includes a good lanyard; EASY to read, works fast, and drains all out. .....
