Default The Circus Comes to Town!

The Kelly Miller Circus arrived this morning in Laconia for a 3 day stay.

They opened up the circus grounds, (Memorial Field, Laconia), to the public to watch the tent raising. It was pretty cool!

I always thought that the animals are getting the raw end of the deal, but I must say the folks at this circus seemed to treat the animals VERY well. They had shaded areas, plenty of food and water, and an entire full time crew that seemed to only be in charge of the animals.

The elephants, they have 3, are 35,36 and 37 years old females. The elephant that "raised the tent poles" responded to just voice control. It was pretty impressive.

Shows start this afternoon, again this evening and several shows tomorrow.

Tickets at the door are $15 adult, $7 kids

Anyway.. a few pictures...

Joe,... either your in-laws don't have an internet connection.. or you are a very brave man!
