Seasoned Firewood/ Camp wood

Anyone know where I might be able to get some seasoned wood at this time of year? We don't heat with wood and mainly just use it for convenience fires in the spring and fall and in the firepit, so it doesn't need to be all hardwood. I am interested in dry wood though because I let my pile get too low and will run out this summer, so I was looking for something I could burn by late summer/ early fall. I checked prior threads and have called Miracle Farms (they only have green) and A Cut Above (no firewood at this time). Any other sources you would suggest I check?

Green should be ok if you do not need it until fall. Five or 6 months and it should be checking real good.

We bought from the guy across from the Meredith Town dump, um transfer station. Burned very well, but then again we have a wood stove and once that puppy is hot, it'll burn stones!

I deliver camp wood within a 10 mile radius of the Alton circle. Split and seasoned, popcorn dry. $20 for the 1st wheelbarrow load delivered. $10 per additional load. Free kindlen while supplies last. PM me if interested.

Check with your local saw mills. They usually have cut off pine slabs available for free. I used to get these all the time for my firepit at a sawmill near my previous home. All I could take and all for free!

This use to be the case many years ago, but now adays they run it all through a chipper and sell it for wood chips.

Yeah your probably right, wood chips and now pellets too! Nothing is scrapped...

Heck, I'm working on a [ Saw Dust Injector ] for wood stoves and fire pits these days.

I've been using apple, cherry, hickory, peach, orange and pecan chips on the BBQ to enhance the flavor of my recipe's since years.

Makes a Big different!

Just remember, cook it slow... Turns up much better!

hi have have 2 1/2 cords or season mix wood great for camp fires. it is 150 a cord delivered that would last you for the whole season. my number is 603 509 3880 my name is eric. feel free to call me if you are interested in the wood

Everyone knows the more you buy, the cheaper it is but if you only want a small amount you should go to Lowe's or Home Depot (or similiar) and buy studs or strap. Cutting those up is usually cheaper than those bundles you get from the grocery store. If they have a "banana bin" you can get an even better deal. This wood is bug and dirt free too.
