A rainbow farewell
A sun shower a few minutes ago with a beautiful rainbow. What a lovely parting gift!! The car is all packed and we roll south to Florida tomorrow. It has been THE BEST summer ever. Thank you, Winni!

It sounds like the smile of the Great Spirit was wishing you a safe trip.

Yes, the rainbow was lovely, viewed from Long Island looking east. From here, there was briefly a complete arc, 180 degrees. On the southern end, there were dark clouds behind it, and for a short time a partial secondary rainbow outside the major one. I took a picture of it.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your wonderful hubby for cribbage this spring. I really enjoyed our games and hope to see you when you come back next year!

Winni = like no place on earth!
HAHAHHA....I just hooked up my laptop here in Florida and even before I go to my e-mail, I am looking at the Forum!! Thank you, Argie's Wife, for your very kind words!! Actually, we had to get rolling several weeks early.
1) High school reunion in NY. 2) M-I-L in the hospital. 3) Cat not well. Bought a new car last week and already have our WINNI sticker on it!! As we crossed into Florida yesterday afternoon, we kept saying "Where's the lake, where are the beautiful mountains and green pines and spruces?" For sure, we left our hearts in NH, but this morning we woke up to the ocean. To live in two magnificent settings humbles us and we thank the Big Man upstairs for our blessings. |
