Thumbs up Time to say thanks

I've been a regular visitor if this site for many years now and I think it's safe to say that I'm certainly not the only one who has not only met many nice folks on here, but enjoy this site as much as the lake it's dedicated to. I think it's long overdue to have a thread here to thank Don, the webmaster, for the outstanding job he does. I don't think many understand the amount of time and effort it takes to run a site like this. It's a lot of work, and a significant expense if you can't sell enough ad space to off set the operating costs, never mind the personal time to keep it going. So I think that we all owe from time to time Don a debt of gratitude for providing us all with a place like this to get out lake fix and more so to have open and candid discussions about a whole myriad of topics. Matter of fact Don this site has to be pretty close to if not already past it's 10 year anniversary.

Well anyways, here's to you for doing an outstanding job, your efforts are appreciated and I don't think any of us really take the time to thank you enough, so come on everyone, chime in. If we can all never agree on any one thing, at least we should be able to here....

I'm new, but the info has been gathering for quite some time, so I also owe a THANKYOU to Don.

Does anyone ever wonder who thier chatting with? I thought it would be nice to have a meet of some type. Would a cookout suffice, or is this way out of the question? This could become a fund raiser for the website. The parties they have at Harley shop in Meredith during bike week are huge, it can be done. Maybe at one of the Fall Fairs have a "Meet and Greet", could take place at a predeturmind time. Just a thought. (or maybe not)

Anyway, Thanks again Don!

PCMC, please note the threads about the forum fest. What you suggested is in the planning phasehttp://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ead.php?t=9851!

Thank you for a great forum Don. I know Don won't mind if the forum users hit the donate button every now and then.

Ditto.
I get some great info on this site. And every time I need a question answered I always get a good answer. I love the gallery, the Wildlife and Eatery forums as well.

Maybe we should get a Crown for Don to wear at Forum Fest, since he's the king of this 'domain'? Seriously, though!

Reminds me of the "Master of my domain" Seinfeld episode!

PCMC,
Well I guess you will have little choice but to attend this year's gathering which is looking like Center Harbor. I have been to most and can tell you that nobody looks like what you picture and everyone has their best face on for the in person event. I highly recommend taking the plunge.

Thanks Don for this glue that keeps us all together and saves a priceless history of the stories, frustrations, events, and images of this great lakes area. And thanks to the people who add content for us to enjoy. (Well mostly enjoy)

I was a Newbie seven years ago when we bought a home on Winni and I joined the Forum. Since then, no day goes by that I haven't checked to see what is going on. In winter in Florida the Forum keeps the memories of the Lake alive and in the five months on Winni I'm always up to date on what's happening.

The Forum is the best example of the blessings of the Internet. Even the nastiness that sometimes occurs doesn't result in bloodshed but does give insight to the perspective of others.

Thank you, Don.
