Default Lakeview Tavern

This is a restaurant that is now closed due to a greedy, closed minded, uneducated piece of **** landlord. Tell me otherwise. The Meredith area and frankly beyond, NEED an establishment like this! 1) open past 9pm. 2) really good pub fare. 3) number one spot for 90% of church landings after wedding party's. 4) a place to actually "watch the game". Even the game that may run past 9pm! On more than 2tvs!

And this rant isn't JUST ABOUT THE LOCALS! It's the tourists! They come here FROM places that actually have establishments that stay open late, have late night music and entertainment. That's what they want when they come here for vacation or a wedding etc.. The mainstream clientel want that atmosphere! Not some $20 per plate average bs! They can get that ALL OVER THE LAKES REGION!

So for anyone that likes to go out and socialize, eat, sing, listen to live music, past 9pm, there is NO LONGER an option in the town of Meredith! Thank Brad Leigton! Corrupt MFO! AKA BRAD WESLEY. (Google the name)

It is a fantastic location and one would think that it "should" be packed every day. I only have two data points on Lakeview: 1) Anytime I've gone by there, whether it's lunchtime, "happy hour" time; or dinner time, the place is basically empty, even in the height of tourist season/events. 2) The last time we were there, it was for lunch in the summer several years ago, and it was "meh" at best. The only positive part of the experience was that Luke Bryan was at the table next to us having his lunch as well.

I'm guessing that their demise has more to with the customer experience, (or lack thereof), than what the landlord did or didn't do.

My sister and brother-in-law went frequently to watch games. Certainly many regulars there. The landlord tried closing them down a year ago to let The Breeze on the Bay move in, but the Lakeview owners had a lease which couldn’t be broken.

We went there a few times when they first opened and were very disappointed with the food and the service, never went back after that. It's a great location, not sure what went wrong between owner and tenant.

Owner bought it in August 2022, and within 6 months tried to get Lakeview out. Also owns the Bootleggers building. Wonder if they want to buy 3 Main St. Then they’d have that block.

I went in there a couple of times when it first opened. Very slow preparing my order both times. Both times I was in there I noticed the new owner playing games with his buddies, not going table to table talking to guests. Would of been a nice touch. I knew someone that worked there and they had to go to the basement to get something and the chef was doing lines of coke. I am surprised it has been open this long. I was expecting John Taffer to make a visit there

I overheard a guy at the Mug saying the girl behind the bar was drunk the last time he went in there.
