Any Snow on the Lake?
Is there enough/any snow left on the ice? With all the sun has it all melted? If any of the many snowmobilers that frequent the site could help us out and answer this question I would appreciate it. We were thinking of coming up to the cottage to ride on the lake this weekend.
Thanks in advance for your help! |

Re: Any Snow on the Lake?
Yes there is snow and the riding is fine. In fact it is reasonably smooth relative to several days and weeks ago. The rain will kill it however.

Not much in Paugus Bay, we're resigned ourselves to forget about snowmobiling this year (barring a blizzard) and count the days till ice-out

Re: Any Snow on the Lake?
au contraire....warm march days turn the top inch of ice to a nice wet crystaline surface perfect for slider lube while providing a flat, fast surface with still plenty of ice thickness underneath.

Re: Any Snow on the Lake?
That is fine if your idea of snowmobiling is driving circles around the lake all day.
Not sure about you but I'd get bored pretty quick. |
