excavation
Definitely tackling our back yard this spring put it off long enough. Most of the summer it's wet with drainage issues (not waterfront.) Anyone have dealings out there with companies who do this type of work? Doesn't fall into the wheelhouse of an ordinary landscaper...
Recommendations appreciated! |

Wetlands?
Is this area (how big?) considered a wetland? If so what is the local zoning requirement for set backs? DES permits? Maybe you need a soil scientist before you need a backhoe and a bulldozer?

John H Lyman & Sons
....many, many, moons ago my parents used John H Lyman & Sons from Gilford to put in their yard in Laconia. I'm pretty sure they are still in business, but I can't comment on their current pricing, quality, etc, but at least it's a lead for you...

Excavating Contractors
Lyman and Sons is an excellent choice. They have grown more to commercial sites. Breton Construction also does excellent excavation. Piscopo Excavation is another recommendation. Your choice! Give them all a call! It's not a matter of who can do the cheapest, but time schedule and value-added to the contract.

Thanks I’ll definitely make some calls doing something this year. It’s not a wet lands issue. If anybody knows of other suggestions they would be appreciated. Anyone familiar with “Northern woods” I believe their name is the new garage that went up directly across from Skelleys in Moultonborough?
