Jetski Handle Grips
Hi All,
anyone know how I can find out what size my jetski handle grips are? length and inside diameter. I have a 1998 Tigershark 640L (different engine in it) and the grips are breaking down fast and I wanted to put new ones on it, preferably thinker maybe gel ones for comfort. Problem is I am not up to the lake to measure them, Anyone have a reference as to where I can get the size of them, or where I can get a good deal on them Thanks

I am surprised our in-house expert on all things jet ski (jet skier) hasn't weighed in. He knows his stuff. I actually have a pair if foam mtn-bike grips on mine, if that helps. I think the diameters on the bars are the same. Happy hunting.

THank you
Went on to their site, I will have to call them to see if they come in a set or not, and also If I need to replace the rivits that hold them unless they grips come with them so talked to them $8 piece for the grips so $16 and then shipping and then the rivits as well, hmm, I was thinking of upgrading them and found that I would be able to with some nice gel ones on Ebay for about $12 including shipping I just have to get the handle bar demensions

Jetskier question???
Do you know if grips are usually the same length 5 1/4?
I would think they were in late 90's 2000's but I would not not with today's machines I was looking at these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

Measure them
I tend toward Sea-Doo; Arctic Cat stopped making the Tiger Shark quite a while ago...as you know. I would recommend that you just measure them. You can measure the length and cicumference around the bar. Note that the diameter is then the circumference/3.14159. {You might just be able to measure the diameter at the end of the grip...it looks open}
With aftermarket, you might have to make some modifications to deal with the rivit. Clearly you will have to drill a hole and might want to countersink and use a washer. The grips that you are looking at are specified to be 7.5" in total length and 2.5 " in outside diameter. I do not know what the inside diameter is. If you are going to buy these on ebay ask the seller to measure them for you. The 964 appears to be a shorter grip (FYI) http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...57879-3729315- Jetskier |
