Lakeport Landing adds Chris-Craft
Looks like the news is out, Lakeport Landing is going to be selling Chris-Crafts.
Spending my summers on an island across from the old Chris-Craft factory in Algonac, MI (and my family owning a Chris-Craft), this is without a doubt one of my most favorite boats. It will be difficult to drive past Lakeport Landing so frequently, and resist the urge to stop in any buy one.

Thats great to hear. We were wondering what was going on since we keep our boat at LPL.

I thought Trexler's was the Chris Craft dealer on the lake. Any idea if something happened with their business model or relationship?
I do like the Chris Craft design. It is unique and somewhat retro. |

I am not sure, but I know that when my wife and I went to look at a boat there a few years back I vowed never to buy from Trexlers.

Texler's Sales
I heard Trexler's sales department hit rock bottom since Harry Spencer left.

I just looked at Trexlers site. They still list Chris Craft, but they have no new, or new old stock boats. Just a single used brokerage boat for sale in the Chris Craft lineup.
If I had to guess, LL is now the new exclusive Chris Craft dealer in NH.

Manufacturers are good at giving commitments to one dealship in an area. It looks like a change for the better for the brand based on your feedback.

Service
From my understanding you need no bring a boat to the dealership you bought it for service. If your boat has a Mercury engine any Mercury certified service dept can perform warranty work. Now all other aspects need to be addressed by a dealer of that brand.

Considering the anti-speed climate around the lake that looks like a very smart move.....good luck to them. Chris Craft is a good line.
