Gee that's a cold looking picture.

I'm surprised to see so many leaves still on the trees.

Default Lake Winnisquam

As of this morning, there is a patch of open water off Oak Street in Laconia. Winnisquam usually freeze before Winnipesaukee.

Default Alton Bay live cam

Oh, I do miss that live cam with the view of the gazebo that was up a couple of years ago. New view not too exciting. Any chance of getting that one back? I'm fascinated watching the ice.

That was a camera provided by the Spencer Hughes real estate office. There is now an insurance agency in that location. Maybe Irwin Marine - Alton Bay will put one in at their marina at the former Gillan Marine location.

I posed the same question to Irwin after seeing pictures taken from their location at the bay. They said a Webcam was not out of the question. Fingers crossed.

Default Sandy Point

The family at Sandy Point has also shown some interest in installing a webcam, but I don't know if this will be the year. Also don't know if it would face up the lake toward Echo Point or down the bay toward the bandstand.

The I S S airboat has been parked there, next to the dock and in the open water created by the water circulators for a couple weeks, and comes and goes out to Mark Island, so it's difficult to say how safe is the ice close to the floating dock there?

Default Wolfeboro Bay Ice Conditions?

Looking to venture out of Brewster Beach over to Keniston Island this weekend. Any idea how the ice is about a mile south out of Wolfeboro Bay?

Its very early in the process but "some" darkish areas are visible in yesterdays satellite pic. Sebago is more pronounced.
