Default Old school.

I fitted a rubber hose to the drain plug on the oil pan. The rubber is long enough to attach to the transom. If the boat is out of the water, I would run the hose through the drain in the transom and remove the oil. If the boat is in the water I would fit the hose to a drain pump. Pretty slick!
