Looking for seasoned firewood for sale by the cord in the Gilford area ?
I need stove lenght wood, no longer than 18". What do folks think about kiln-dried firewood? Any better than air dired, or just a marketing ploy? Don't need right now, but probably buy in the Spring. Any referrals would be appreciated ! Thanks, BD |

Kiln dried wood burns better, but it allows the wood to be ready for sale in a month, rather than a year. There is the extra cost, though.

This has all been covered at length earlier this winter. You will find all the info you need in the same area.
