Arrow Hermit Woods Winery

I just discovered a local vineyard that may be of interest to some of you. Has anyone been yet or have you tried their wines?

Barrel Tasting at Hermit Woods Winery

11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Have an opportunity to sample two young wines right out of the cask, meet our wine maker, and learn about the making of wine.

Join us for an exciting opportunity to taste two wines directly from the oak barrel where they are aging. These wines won’t be bottled and made available for sale until the spring of 2012. Meet our wine maker Ken Hardcastle, learn about the wine making process and have a chance to see what the wine taste like at a very young age. We will be tasting our South American Carmenère and Cabernet Sauvignon. Come any time between 11:00 and 5:00, taste our wine, sample from the barrel and learn about wine.

Apples for wine!

Turn your apples into wine! Hermit Woods Winery is looking for local, ideally organic, apples of all kinds. They don’t need to be the good looking apples you find in the supermarket, they just need to be fresh and picked from the tree, not collected from the ground.

Prospect Hill Winery grows all their own grapes (5 varietys of white and 8 varietys of red). The big harvest is scheduled for this weekend.

Default Wineries in New Hampshire

Thank you Rattlesnake Gal for sharing information about our winery, Hermit Woods. We are just one of many new wineries that have opened up in the state of New Hampshire in the past few years. If you visit our website, you can see a map of all the wineries in the state here: http://hermitwoods.com/about/nh-wineries/

We hope to see you in our tasting room some day. We are open on weekends from 11-5 until the end of October then we close for the winter. We will be opening back up in the Spring with a whole new line up of wines.

Cheers,

Bob Manley
