Alton Fireworks Accident?
Did some accident occur in Alton Bay just now? Did the barge catch fire? I don't want to be an alarmist, but it sounded like something happened, and a big flash lit up the sky. Boats are returning after only 2 minutes.

nothing I saw...
I was at Alton Bay at that time and didn't see any problems. I know that a few different people were lighting off their own fireworks before the "official" show at 9:20. One of those unofficial fireworks did appear to misfire and go off too early. We watched from across the bay and wondered if everyone was okay. No responders were called in, so we assumed all was okay. That was the only incident we saw. The official fireworks went off without a hitch.
