Default Small Plane Crash in Alton

There has just been a small plane down in the area of Half Moon Lake in Alton. Sounds like most or all are out safely walking towards Varney Road.

This is based on scanner reports.

From the Citizen:
Quote:
ALTON — An airplane had a rough landing in town Saturday, but the pilot and passengers were not hurt.

A Cessna 170 was flying over Half Moon Lake when the pilot, John Kiley, 48, of Barnstead, tried to land on the ice, police said.

The airplane lost a wheel during the landing, causing the plane to dip and damage the propeller, according to Alton Police Sgt. Todd MacDougall.

Also aboard were passengers Scott Vick, a minor from Barnstead, and Winnifred Bolduc, 40, of Gilford, McDougal said.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating. An agency representative could not be reached for comment Saturday.

They (authorities via media) identified a minor? Or was this poorly written and there was a third passenger on board, a minor?
