Cute emoticons!
Happy Valentine's Day! Today is also the youngest Arglet's b-day - he's 6 years old today, so we have double reason to celebrate today! Since this is a day about LOVE and the posters here at winni dot com all LOVE the Lakes Region, I'm wondering what all y'all are doing to celebrate today? |

Thankful to be in America
Not being in certain countries sure seems to help when celebrating Valentine's day:
Today in Malaysia: Government officials have launched campaigns against Valentine's Day celebrations amongst Muslim populations in Indonesia and Malaysia, claiming the holiday promotes "vice activities" and "immoral behavior." Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin says the celebration of romantic love is "not suitable" for Muslims, who make up nearly two-thirds of the 28 million population of Malaysia.Wow. Kinda makes you glad you're here, and not there, doesn't it? |

The govt is always playing religion into politics ......... but the real Malaysia is not what the govt want the west to believe. Downtown Kuala Lampur today will have an overflow of dinner reservations and jewelry sales (gold sales are big this time of the year ) Remember about 30 percent of Malaysia is Chinese or Indian and they control in my opinion 90 percent of business and industry. Your posting reminded me so much of the "stuff" one would see in the New Straits Times " newspaper everyday . Thanks for the post and helping me to remember my time in Malaysia Last edited by Winni-Retired; 02-14-2011 at 03:44 PM. |

Chocolate !!!
I'm giving myself permission to eat chocolate that is NOT sugar free today. Our office is filled with baked goods that people brought in and I've got a cute little heart-shaped box of Whitman's waiting for me at home. My parents also sent me a Valentines Day card that I'm going to open later on.
If I were up at the lakes today we would be deciding where to have dinner. Hmm. Where do you think is a good place to have a romantic Valentines dinner? We're going to be celebrating in March when we come up. |

I was hoping my wife would get me one of these for a Valentine's present and we could cruise into Meredith Bay tonight, it hasn't showed up in the driveway yet
