Can you anchor near the park and swim to the beach? If so how far should you stay away from any swim area float lines. Is there any other things I should or should not do if I anchor.
Thanks |

I know I'm not directly answering your question but I noticed two weekends ago that they had duck itch warning signs posted at the beach.
No idea what it takes to make duck itch "go away". Maybe a good heavy rain or wind event? |

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong , but I see no reason why you couldn't anchor off any public beach and and wade or swim in. Make sure your anchor is set and keep an eye on your boat. I wouldn't anchor "in front" of the float line but off to the sides.

The redshirts in Gilford will stop you from entering the town beach from a boat, even a paddle boat. They have signs facing the water, saying that no boats are allowed.
I have never tried this in Meredith. Obviously you can't cross any swim line with your boat. Since this is not a no rafting area, you should be able to anchor as close to shore as you want. |

Thanks everyone for the input. Think I will call the Town Hall to make sure it is open to swimming before I try it out.
