Default H & H propeller...

... in Salem MA does the majority of recons in New England. They have a shop in Maine too. If you go to local marinas - that is where they send them and add a mark-up service fee for handling the transit and paperwork. If you can go (or ship) to H & H directly, you can eliminate the middleman and save a few bucks. They will record what was done and the specific parameters of your prop and stamp a file number into it. Any future work will be referenced back to this file so you can always return to the baseline.

If you would prefer to deal with your local marina, then go ahead. The work will most likely be done at H & H anyway. I've been to the Salem, MA, shop and its an impressive operation. Their site is www.hhprop.com/

What kind of boat do you have? If it is a performance boat that you are looking to get everything you can out of I would not recommend H&H. They do a great job on props for larger cruisers and slower boats but the props that I have sent them yielded me slower then pre damaged speeds.

I now use B-blades. http://www.bblades.com/ They seem to be the big name in high performance boats these days.

Hi Dan,

I also agree with Tom's recommendation of H & H Propeller Service. Excellent work and fast turnaround even during peak times.

Stevie

Not sure why I did not see your post earlier, but interesting to hear that post recon work did not produce the same speed as when new!

I have a V-Toon (performance Pontoon) with a 250 H.O. Etec on it. I would assume H&H could perform this fix relatively easily with hopefully no loss of performance. as the damage is extremely minor.

Thanks for your input!

Dan

Being from Salem originally I have a lot of friends that used Haskell & Hall (H&H) and were satisfied. When repitching props for my 31 Berttram for max performance I found New Engand Propeller (neprop.com) much more accomodating and less expensive.

I am sure you will be fine with them doing a repair on your boat. It falls well within thier capabilities.

Default Thanks!

Thanks to all who recommended H&H Propeller. I finally got around to send them my prop last week and I already have it back! They did a great job as it looks brand new again and turnaround was just a couple days.
