DOG SUPPORTERS - MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW! Patrick’s Pub, 18 Weirs Road, Gilford, is hosting a fundraiser for The Happy Tails Dog Park of the Lakes Region from 5 – 10 pm on Thursday, May 28th. A portion of the proceeds from Patrick’s wonderful meals will be donated to the park. Just remember to tell your server that you are there to support the group.
At the same time you are enjoying that wonderful meal from Patrick’s, a Silent Auction will be held which will feature bird houses decorated by a number of local artists. The artists include Larry Frates, Maureen Bieniarz-Pond, Donna Manning, Cari Ordway (Bead Divine), Melissa McCarthy (The Studio), Jason Twombly, Jeanne Cox (Art Escape), Gail Brunt (All Fabric Arts), Marlene Witham, Mona Smith, and Jean Foote.
We’re excited to see what the artists come up with as each one is free to interpret and decorate their bird house in any way that they choose.
The auction itself will be from 6 – 8 pm so come out to Patrick’s, pick your favorite, place your bid, enjoy a meal and hopefully take your favorite birdhouse home with you.
Happy Tails Dog Park is currently raising funds to obtain the appropriate surveys and an engineered plan for the park which will be located at 55 Growtth Road in Laconia. While the park will be located in Laconia it will be open to all Lakes Region residents and their guests.
Volunteers are always needed to assist with all aspects of the park. Check the web site, www.htdpnh.org, or find us on Facebook for details on all events or to sign up to become a member of the group. Stop by the table at the Bow Wow Fest on May 2nd to say hello and find out more information about the park. The Happy Tails Dog Park cookbook will be available, which features doggie treats and tips.
The Happy Tails Dog Park of the Lakes Region is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization founded in 2008 by a group of private citizens who wish to create an off- leash dog park in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. The group does not receive any private tax payer funds from any NH municipality and are not associated as a division of, nor are we a sister organization to, any other Lakes Region animal related organization.
