Some of the finest remaining examples of the first-ever snowmobiles will be on display in West Ossipee at the homecoming rally on Saturday, February 5th sponsored by the Model T Snowmobile Club of America. As many as 40 of the Model Ts, sporting double rows of rear tires affixed with belt-like chains and skis up front for steering, will be at the event, which will be held at the intersection of Rte. 25 and Rte. 16, just a few hundred feet from the site of a factory which during the 1920s turned out some 25,000 conversion kits which transformed Model Ts into snowmobiles.

Winter Carnival & Ice Harvesting Festival - Tamworth
Come see us make ice cubes the old-fashioned way... we harvest them! Try your hand at cutting blocks of ice from our pond using the same techniques and tools as our New England ancestors. The Yankee Teamsters 4-H Working Steers Club will assist us in loading the freshly cut ice blocks into our icehouse. Chinooks Worldwide Inc, celebrate their 12th anniversary in Tamworth Village and weather permitting, give dog sled rides to children during this exciting event. A snowball throwing contest and the snowshoe obstacle course are all part of a day filled with winter fun on the farm!
