Located near the junction of Rte 171 and the Ossipee Park Rd. Named in part for the large open ledge part way up the southern slope of Mt Roberts which is easily seen from the road beside the farm. In the early 20th century it was known as the Plant Farm - it was owned by Tom Plant and provided much of the food used at his exclusive Lucknow Estate. Today it is one of the few operating farms in the area, producing vegetables for the local market. You can see a roadside stand alongside the road, but that was closed a few years ago and all the produce that comes from the farm is now sold at a special market in the village of Moultonboro. The barn is of an exceptional style - no animal products are produced, so the barn seems, in part at least, to be remodled as a residence. Photo taken from the ledge on Mt Roberts that helped give the farm its name - .9 miles away.
