A view to the NW from Avery Hill across Hills Pond. A small fragment of Sunset Lake is seen at the far left. Above it, on the horizon, is Grant Hill, and somewhat to its right is the more peaked summit of Durrell Mt.

I was up at Hills Pond for all of this past week. Many times while out on the deck I was trying to determine which mountain peak I was viewing. Now I know! Looks like the valley in the photo link below would be between Shannon and Swett/Piper mountains. Thanks dcr!
