Pink Lady's Slipper is one of our woodlands' finest late spring delights. It often grows in association with the white pine - this dozen beauties are spread among a group of very young pines. The colloquial names moccasin flower and lady's slipper more aptly fit the yellow lady's slipper, which has a wide opening that looks like it would accomodate someone's foot, if they were pixie size.
