There are two open ledgy sites somewhat below Bald Knob that provide views to the west and south similar to Bald Knob's. This view is from the lowest site. It is about the only view site at the Castle property where one can look back at the Castle from below the Castle site - usually one is looking down at the Castle. Prominent mountains on the horizon are labeled. Red Hill, a large mountain mass, takes up 1/4 of the horizon by itself - to its right is Mt Morgan of the Sandwich Range. At the far right is Lee Mt, on which the Castle sits. The well-known Cardigan-Firescrew duo are near the far left. Double-summited Cotton Mt, to the left of Red Hill, is a little below the horizon - it is near the village of Holderness and is a popular hiking site of the Squam Lake area.
