At the end of this boardwalk one can stand within 25 ft of the bottom of Falls of Song. In recent days standing that close could easily result in getting wet, as the unusually high volume of water coming over the falls after the recent heavy rains creates huge amounts of spray and mist that reach the small observation deck at the end of the boardwalk. The sound of the falls is very loud also because the falls is surrounded on 3 sides by steep cliffs 60-70 ft high, creating a kind of echo chamber and amplifier. The falls is partially visible in the background.
