Great series of pictures! What you have there is a two year old bald eagle. Most people don't realize they are all around the lake. When you come upon these birds they just take your breath away!

Immature Bald Eagles can be confused with the heavier Golden Eagle—the best way to distinguish one from another is to weigh them! If the white patches are smaller and uniform—balanced (left and right) and symmetrical, you've seen a Golden Eagle.
