A view to the north from Mt Shaw. Carter Notch is in the far background at the center. To its right is Carter Dome, at 4832 ft, the 9th highest mountain in NH. To the left of the notch is Wildcat Mt, and to its left is Wildcat Ridge. In the midground, at the far right is the summit of North Moat Mt - to its left , in front of Wildcat Mt, is Big Attitash Mt, with a long ridge leading to the left. A little in front of the westernmost part of that ridge we can see the shiny cliffs of Carter Ledge, which is only a short distance to the east of Mt Chocorua. The mountain in the immediate foreground is Bald Mt, at the northernmost edge of the Ossipee Range.
