From the Silver Sands marina. Washington rises up in the background, seen through the col between Mt Hedgehog and Mt Paugus of the Sandwich Range. From the base of its summit we see the snow-covered mile-long ridge of Washington called Boott Spur coming toward us in the direction of Mt Paugus.
