A view to the north from New Durham Ridge. The cool mornings of fall cause mists to rise from water bodies. The mountain in the middle of the photo is local Mt Bet. Morning mists are rising behind it to the right from Merrymeeting Lake and to the left from Lake Winnipesaukee.Running horizontally through the center are mists rising from the Merrymeeting River and the associated Merrymeeting Marsh. In the right background are snow-covered Mt Monroe, Washington and Madison. In the left background are the Sandwich and Ossipee Ranges.
