Note how it is all overgrown across the from the docks.. Not that way today with the Larson Dealer there now.

Downings used to rent Lymans with a 40HP Evinrude BIG TWINS back in the 60's.

They didn't have the optional windshields.

I had a friend - John M from Wakefield MA and his dad rented one of those 16 Lymans with the 40 for their 2 week vacation every summer. His dad never bought a boat other than an aluminum row boat with a 5hp although they had a cottage in Alton Bay. I actually learned to water ski behind one of those rental boats.
