Note the blue eggs, much like a robin's, another member of the thrush family. Nests are typically found on the ground - this one, found in August, is probably the 3rd brood of the year for this bird. Eggs hatch within 12 days and the birds fledge 10 - 15 days after that. Many feel that this bird's ethereal, flute-like song is the most beautiful bird song in North America - in places it's called the American nightingale.
